What is Neuropathy?
Peripheral neuropathy occurs when the nerves that transmit information to and from your brain and spine to the rest of your body are damaged. When the nerves are damaged, the messages that they transmit are distorted, resulting in a variety of symptoms. The symptoms of neuropathy greatly depend on the type of nerves that are damaged, ranging from autonomic nerves, motor nerves, and sensory nerves.

How We Treat Neuropathy
Rather than prescribing drugs that only hide the pain, or treatments that block the distorted nerve signals, our treatment method targets the root of the pain and re-builds nerve pathways to get them communicating properly again. This contributes to a reduction in symptoms.

Nauticus Laser utilizes multiple cutting edge tools to treat Neuropathy including the Summus Medical Laser. Summus Medical Laser improves neuropathy symptoms by preventing neural apoptosis and enhancing neurite outgrowth. Additionally, studies indicate laser therapy produces significant improvement of functional recovery after crush injury and toxin exposure.
Summus Medical Laser has shown to be 90% effective at treating the symptoms of neuropathy with no observed complications.*

High Intensity Laser Therapy promotes increased circulation by drawing oxygen and nutrients to the affected area. This creates an optimal healing environment reducing inflammation, swelling, muscle spasms, stiffness and pain. As the inured area returns to normal, pain is relieved and function is restored.

Our therapies may also be combined with other manual therapies to assist in the healing process. Some patients also benefit from nutrition counseling and suggested supplementation.
